Life

A QUIET KIND OF COMPANY

Some parts of life don’t ask to become work. They simply remind me who I am when the work stops.

Some parts of life don’t ask to become work. They simply remind me who I am when the work stops.

Asaad in headphones holding Gambry, his cocker spaniel puppy, at dusk
Between sound, work and the ordinary rituals of the day.
Asaad seated on a hillside, looking out over the landscape
A quiet hour, sitting still, nothing being made.

Most of what I keep from a day has nothing to do with a camera. Sitting somewhere with no plan. Headphones on, or off. The hours nobody is paying for.

Note to self

The night photograph by the water with Gambry still belongs in this entry. Its caption is already written and waiting for the file.
