EVERYTHING HAS A RHYTHM

Drums, cuts, walking, waves. I think I’ve only ever been doing one thing.

Behind the kit.

A cut is a hit. A hold is a rest. When a sequence feels wrong it is almost never the shot — it is the bar it lands on. I count edits the way I count a fill.

Tempo is the only thing film, music and walking somewhere have in common. It’s enough.

Moving with the camera is a tempo decision too.
